Alright lads and the odd lass,
Looking for a favour here. I want to find out as much info as I can about common skate captures, hook ups, stories rumours etc from the shore in Ireland. This is for a project and I'm serious.
If anyone can direct me to newspaper archives or anything even going back into the mists of time when fella's were getting trebles on bent safety pins from Fenit pier.
If anyone has a bit better info it can be pm'd and will be treated with the strictest of confidence if so required.
Thanks in adavance,
Hugh
PS: I'm not messin like.

Hugh it was around mid July '04 ( i think ) and it was flat calm as well. when it got the run it was around 2 in the morning on the high water. it wasnt a huge bait he was using either i think it was two large ammo eels wrapped in mackeral but ill find out more for ye me memory isnt the same as it used to be. as century man says it could have been just another large species of ray but the power in it and the speed it moved off at it would have to be a large one and it defo wasnt a tope cause it didnt run off at speed maybe a sting ray dont know. but ill get more info for you an pm you bud.
