Fishing report 5:
Date: 25/3/11
Time started: 3pm
Weather: blinding sun, light wind from south-east
Tide: high at 4pm
Marks: The wall at the end of the west pier, outside the last elbow (facing the powerstation), half-way back into the bay.
Rods: two
Rigs: ledgers off the end of the pier, float, spinning wedge, pulleys
Hook sizes: 1, 2/0, 4/0 with trace.
Bait: Mackerel and a nice wedge
Time finished: 7pm
Results: Nothing (not even a crab, and hardly any vanishing bait).
Other comments: Does the sun scare fish away ? Noticed some strange ripples and bubbles in the shallowest harbour in Dun Laoghaire after dark. Might have been mullet. Should've fished there.
