Fished Ballybranigan to-night. Nothing, not a bite! "It's called fishing, it's not called catching!". Was using mackeral, mussel and crab, all frozen. Blaming the slack tide and north winds. Maybe if I had fresh bait but the bait I was using has stood me well on the last few outings, especially the mackeral which were surplus catch over the summer. Never had much success with shop bought mackeral - has anybody?
