Hi All
This may seem a little silly but any help or advice would be appreciated.
I started sea angling like most of us at the age of 8 or 9, I switched to multipliers after a few years and loved them but as I spent a lot of time coarse fishing, I eventually started to use fixed spools again for all my fishing.
I am back on multipliers now ( slosh 20s & 30s) for my beach & rock fishing and love the reels but cannot get my technique nailed.
Distance from rocks is not necessary as you all know, but when I hit a beach, I am at a serious loss with the multiplier, with fixed spool and a long cast spool, I can hit 170 yards but with the multiplier, I can barely hit 100 and I get overruns. This was not the case in the past, I could exceed 200 yards without a problem but I seemed to have completely lost the ability to use multipliers, I cannot figure it out. I have set the brakes on all 4 my multies to different sensitivities, but still continue to get overruns when attempting to cast...
