Rosslare point always has a few - Check the tides though, they are absolutely frightening when running hard down there, nothing bar a 10 tonne anchor will hold bottom - other than that im unfamiliar with the area.

When you say rosslare point where is that? Of the pier in the port itself? I'm going for a few days and would like to try it!
Thanks

The point is in rosslare strand - so go past kelly's hotel and keep going till you cant go any further! You can drive up the shoreline about halfway no bother but stop before it turns back to the left, long enough walk otherwise! There is a tackle shop on the left called the widgeons rest, open till 6 most weekdays, bunty in therre will let you know everything thats happening.

Circles on right are hard fishin but easiest water - circles on left can be tricky but decent fishing - outgoing tide a disaster - crab central - keep bait off bottom if at all possible.

Dont go near the x!!

In fairness it was a nice calm nite, plenty of bass caught too, but then one of the lads got stuck in the sand,

Yeah, all were small but still great fun, smoothies were on rag, the biggest we recon was about 6lbs. Considering I've never caught a bass and smoothy before I was delighted with the catches
