lads any of you use perry winkles as bait and how do you find them

Have seen small wrasse taken on them in connemara.

When I was a kid I once used Peri Winkles bunched up on a hook as I was short of bait, resulting in 1 small Bass. I never used them again as I always had rag, lug, mussel or squid. For sure they will work, especially around rocky wrasse and Bass areas. I don't fish with bait myself anymore though.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

was macky bashes the other day and fed up of mack s so grabed a few winkles of the rocks put on small feathers and out they went 3 gurands 2 dabs happy days
