Ray on the Beara penninsula

Postby Chris T » Tue Aug 23, 2016 10:24 pm

Evening all,

Can anyone recommend a mark on the Beara with a decent chance of catching a Ray?

I'm heading off down that way with a mate who hasnt had a Ray before and he's itching to catch one. It's actually our second trip down that way, we went in September last year and had some great fishing with lots of different species cracking fishing but the poor lad just wants a Ray...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try get in touch with Paul Harriss who is a member on here. Paul runs a guesthouse and sells tackle/bait also. He's dead on and helped me out anytime I was down there.

Defiitely worth a try! Was down last year, pollock and wrasse everywhere had my first cuckoo wrasse and Huss! Fish everywhere! You need to do a bit of planning but really worth it! Let me know if you're heading down, will pm you the few marks I know!
