Beara peninsula

Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:27 pm

Me and a friend are off to Beara peninsula in September,
I'm after Ray and Huss , my friend really wants a trigger fish
Are they still around in September and is the Beara a good place to get one?
In Cornwall we use sandeel for Ray and Huss in the rivers, what do the Ray prefer
over there?
Very excited and I'm already preparing rigs lol, pulley and pulley dropper for Ray.
Thanks for any advice.
Cheers
John

If you lads want to see the fishing you do with Paul Harris then have a look at this video:

The presenters (Graeme and Mike) often post videos with a comedic approach but they know what they're doing and catch huss, conger and big pollack with Paul Harris! It's well worth the watch!
The channel is very good and posts all sorts of fishing videos (from perch fishing to six-gill shark fishing)!

The Atlantic swell    . Even on the calmest looking days it's out there and have taken many an angler to a watery grave. Even had a few close calls myself  .I've seen 20' swells come out of nowhere.
When you do get to a rock mark, stop up high for a few minutes and take stock of the swell. If it looks dodgy the don't risk it
