A lamp for the beach

Postby jono,b » Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:31 pm

Howya lads,

Looking for some advice on a fuel lamp for the beach, I want something for the winter months on the beach to offer a bit of light plus warm the hands off it. I'm lost when it comes to Tilley lamps, propane, fuel etc...
any advice on a good lamp is appreciated.

Thanks

Coleman North Star all the way, Had both of mine for many years now and it never lets me down. Runs on unleaded pump fuel, mantles are readily available in many tackle shops and gives excellent light and heat.

Northstar is slight bit brighter but they have there flaws the igniters on them tend to go the duel fuels need nothing bar mantles and a long lighter to light them

Charcoal hand warmers/burners are great and cheap too.
