Century Tip Tornado with Shimano Trinidad

Recently had the pleasure of borrowing a Greys Tripplex paired up with a Shimano Trinidad reel. The rod, I found to be ok, but the reel was superb! These things are really strong, with a chunky smooth gearbox and a superp spool which lets the line fly. My friend also had a Century Tip Tornado Super Match which he was fishing with, so at the end of the session, we put the Trinidad on the Century and I had a cast. The difference was amazing! I normally put too much effort into my cast to try and get a good distance, but with this setup, it seemed effortless.

A couple of days later, I borrowed the Century again on a casting court, but paired with an ABU 6500 which was tuned well. My best measured distance was 154.8 metres. I actually cast further on the day, but was outside the casting zone - kept casting to the right for some reason. Moved my stance to the left a little and bingo!

I now have a new favourite reel and rod, but, they both cost a packet!!

P.S. If anyone knows of a good fishing spot in Poland, please let me know!!
