New Shimano Navi

Received my new Shimano Navi 8000 today from England. What a nice smooth reel and a spare spool.
Can't wait to give it a go this weekend. It certainly feels stronger than my Penn Surfmaster 850.

got one few weeks ago ,smooth as silk and lovely solid feel hauled in a double dog and weed like a winch

I've had the 8000PG for a couple of years and it's OK. The spool corroded after the first season, but was replaced without question, and this year the non-spring end of the bail arm locked solid. I managed to loosen it up, but I wonder what it'll be like after the summer. A friend's bail arm spring went, and I'm to polite to repeat his view of the reel. However, it is powerful and smooth, but be careful to wash the salt off and lubricate regularly.
