Okuma

I bought a small Okuma fixed spool reel just a year ago. It is the best engineered reel that I have ever had and is sweet to use. I would, therefore, have no hesitation in buying Okuma again.

To save myself typing it all out again (lazyitus), here's a link to another thread about Okumas:

Are you mad? Nightshift is the best, that's when I get all my surfing in!

If you want a large fixed spool try the Okuma Corrida BR90 25lb - 330yds.
Nice looking and like all Okumas great engineering and bomb proof.

I used one of the Okuma bait runner fixed spools and it was arguably one of the best reels I ever used. Used it for piking and heavy duty pollock spinning of the shore and it never let me down.

I've been using an Axeon for nearly a year now. Fantastic reel, 11 barings and 1 anti-infinity reverse baring. Smooth, sweet reel.

what kind of distance are you getting with the Xtreme? i'm thinking of buying the K2 titanium extreme, 16'8". Would you get 150yards?

My tackle dealing man Jim tells me there are two new reels from Okuma.
The Trophy Pro TP80, 7 ball bearings - 310yds of 20lb mono and
The Axeon AXS 90 12 ball bearings - 320yds of 20lb mono.
Jim says they're class Reels but then he would say that!........
