took a trip up to courtown 9/4/04. high tide was forcast for around mid-day fished from 09.30-13.00. walked south from the habour along the headland which contains small coves surrounded with rocky outcrops. - although bottom fishing is clean and sandy. the day was mild overcast and grey with bursts of rain. ther was very little surf.

used two rods - one with a clip-down pulley rig with peeler and lug cocktail blasted out as far as i could, the other was a two rig flapper with lug and mackerel strips fished at shorter range.

ended up with 3 dogfish and 4 very small whiting.

there is a two day event in tinnabearna over this weekend - anybody travel down?
