Saturday night while targetting bass off an East Cork bass I caught a 11.5 lb Painted Ray.
The fish was taken on a 4/0 pennel pulley baited with fresh peeler crab cast just about 30 m out into a good surf.
Full report is available in the Shore Report Section:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=38272That's the biggest fish I have ever caught in Ireland (had a bigger Eagle Ray in Lanzarote a few years ago).

Well done Frank. A specimen is always special, and that's quite a good specimen painted at that.
