There is $350 000 to be won...only a 100 teams entering, and a chance for a complete novice to become world champion overnight!!! The price is $3000 per team, but the odds are good really. I am trying to put a team together to go to either Madeira, Ghana or Bom Bom , all not too far from Ireland. No experience required, it's great fun! The winnings if any will be split between the team. Usually we take turns to at picking up the screaming rod...and we pick straws to see the order of things. The entry fee is $3000 (divided by team number - max 5 ( $600) + the boat ($600) + costs to travel. It's bick bucks but its fun.
If we get a team of 5 together we are looking at $1200 each for the days fishing + travel costs.
