Anybody know of any spots along the west coast where red bandfish fish can be caught?I have seen a good few reports online from the UK and would love to catch one but can find any reliable info about spots in Ireland ?

There does be a few caught in donegal bay each summer by anglers fishing for mackerel but wouldn't know of any place where you would have a high percentage chance of a hook up

I catch 2 or 3 each year off Black Head, Co. Clare. About 2 nM offshore at about 120 ft depth. Fishing feathers near to the bottom. They are beautiful fish, very delicate.
