Back in the day, we used to fish the reefs halfway between Rush and Lambay Island - drifting south on the tide was ideal.
Launching at Rush depends on the tide but it was always a productive if shallow spot...
We always found mackerel and the odd red cod there, nothing massive... pulled a small ling off it once when we anchored up rather than drifting...

Anyone fished it recently?

Unfortunately that's the spot where the raw sewage is pumped from Rush. The slick goes all the way out to the left of Lambay. We tend to avoid for that reason.
