Lake Garda

Just back from Lake Garda in Italy. We were camped beside a very shallow part of the lake so lots of wading in 2 to 3 feet of crystal clear water casting a few spinners and surface lures. Highlight was catching bass ( largemouth I think) on surface lures around the reeds; super sport fish and a first on both counts for me. The area also had a big head of chub that used to feed on fry in the shallows so provided a plenty of sport on light tackle. I had to scale up the lures to avoid them in the end. I saw some nice trout there too in urban areas, but never got a chance to target them. Didn't see any pike or perch; except for resturant menus. If I go there again I'd definitely bring the fly rod for the shallow water fishing. No pics unfortunately as didn't want to drop the phone in water
