Snook, Cocoa Pier, Florida, USA

Fishing in Florida now:

Cocoa pier my local venue one hour drive from Disney when I now living.

Now back to the fishing: I have kitted myself up with a 9 foot Penn spinning and heavy duty Penn reel loaded with 20lb braid and a host of 17.5 cm Rapala lures and Bomber A lures. 3 foot 40lb leader

Florida Sea fishing licence required about 52 US Dollars.

Night tide under the pile-on close as possible to the surf running in and around the pier.

Snook are a game fish and have strict regulations governing their catch...

I was a luck man as mine fell inside the ''keepers'' size over 28'' but below 32''.

The fight is extreme like a massive Bass but only stronger.

I miss home but coping very well here!!

Cheers lads.
