hi, I should have posted something here myself - thanks :D

we had a discussion weeks ago on the club page - https://www.facebook.com/galwaybaysac/

submissions had to be in by oct 6th

I agree it was an unfortunate picture chosen of the annual mack bash - now maybe the council wants to deal with some of the anti social behaviour that goes on with this - however there are already plenty of laws they can use to stop that

I fear this could be thin end of the wedge stuff to try and get control below the HW line

in anycase it will be unenforceable - but we have to stand up for our rights - and handy fishing right in the city - year round!

Just reading this of whats going on at home as im overseas at the moment.I wonder why City Hall of got a bee in there bonnet about trying to bring in these BY-LAWS. How are they going to enforce it especially on the River Corrib all the way up to the CUT as we know it,or is it a case of people in the areas have made complaints about fishing, does this ban include all areas, canals, docks, claddagh, the high bank and more, let alone the tackle shops who will lose business.

It looks like to me that the people sitting in these chairs of Authority in City Hall must lead sad lifes as they must go home pondering on how to to P... people of in Galway City, yes we know that the annual mack bash in salthill can get messy by a few individuals who dont know one end of a rod from the other but not everyone is like that.

Anyway i hope its sorted out from where i am at the moment before i get home.
