Giles Quay

I took the nipper to Gile's Key on the Cooley Peninsula, for a spin , to give his mum a rest, but with alterior motives of course - brownie points scored while doing a bit of fishing research !! Great !!

Anyway, a man and woman were spinning away for mackerel (German sprat lure and feathers) - had landed a bucket full . I asked about the fishing there, and they said that last night on the incoming tide a bloke landed a couple of nice cod off the back wall of the pier, using mackerel strips fished hard on the bottom. They seemed genuine enough people.

Anyone fished the pier at Giles Quay before ? Any use ?
