Rough ground reel

I am looking for a new rough ground multiplier reel . I was thinking of either a penn 535 or diawa sl20 or sl30 . Does one have these reels and if so how do you find them .

Personally I'd go for the Pen 535 as it is a more versatile reel and is great for boat fishing too.

A 535mag looks tempting . It will match my 525mag . Does anybody use the Diawas .

SL30SH

Hi

Usea 535 for shore and a SL30SH for boat fishing and both are excellent however I find the SL30SH easier to maintain - a minor niggle.

FWIW...

I have a Daiwa SLX40 as a general casting boat reel, its bigger than the usual sloshes, but you can also get SLX20's & 30's- they are supposed to cast better- floating spool shaft or something. It's very nice, but lately I have favoured Okuma reels

If diawa plug the plug on slosh reels, about one year later, no spares.
