Too early for Pier fishing?

Sun Mar 07, 2021 6:14 pm

Sorry to be making another thread. Just dont want to be going off topic. I've two beaches and a pier within my 5k but I'm not equipped well enough for the beaches. Was wondering if spinning or floating from the pier would produce any results this early. Thanks very much

You could surely float/bottom fish from the mark you have in mind. Usually around this time of the year I expect codling, whiting, flounder, dabs, dogfish from my local(although I've been blanking on 100% of sessions this year  ). There's always some sort of species available from piers!

Peir fishibg is all year round if you ask me.

Handy way to start. Drop a 3 hook flapper right down by the wall wheres any cracks or kelp, very small hooks and bait.
