Hi Clive nice lug there but I would not fish with lug alone try making a lug/mussel cocktail bait tipped with either crab legs or the belly of a mackerel. This gives you a better choice of fish to attract to your bait.I know you know this as you are a long time angler but when luck is out you have to try something else.
Maybe this will do the trick best of luck.

I have not fished in two years hoping to change that this year with anything ?

Alright Mickser,

Hows things? I had Sandeel aswell, so I was using a nice Bait but even that didn't grab me a tug :(
Will keep at it though, I was supposed to have been fishing for Salmon over the last few weeks but Life got in the way and also the height of the water, so Im hopeful to be out early sat morning on the Blackwater..

A Salmon would be Very welcome indeed

And yet another Blank, Cobh pier. Met up with a few lads from Crosshaven angling and they said the Fishing is Very poor all over, I've personally never seen it so bad in All my Fishing life, Beautiful Prime Lug and not even a tip, maybe it would have been better tonight but...
