Fishing along the east coast?

Postby Joeh21 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 3:17 pm

Hey
With my recent trip to dingle Ive gotten a taste for fishing again and wanna get back into it! I used to fish along Kiloughter with my dad a lot years ago and was wondering if its worth the trip down?
If not are there any spots along wicklow/dublin coast worth checking out?

Thanks
Joe

Im always saying this but if you can drive down to wicklow keep going on to wexford. An abundance of beaches that are among the best in the country, from wexford you have Raven point, wex harbour curracloe, rosslare harbour, rosslare strand/point, kilmore, courtown, kilmuckridge oulart, st, helens, carne, tacumshane the list is endless.

If your getting back into fishing, I'd recommend trying at least every one of those spots!!!

Why keep going to wexford? What's wrong with the fishing on the Wicklow beaches?

The Wicklow beaches have not fished well since the late 70ts after the mussel beds where destroyed by
the trawlers from Wexford who trawled the beds out completely destroying the food source for the cod it has never been the same since then.

Because the fishing is better in wexford obviously - Why would you think I recommended it for any other reason??
