Allrite hunterboy!

Vercelli Oxygen Uccello! I bought one of these this year, beautiful rod for the money, weight balance, albeit with a fixed spool reel, and build is exceptional. Plenty of grunt too if you're fishing rock marks. I can't fault it and only around tha €100 mark. So good I'm hoping to get another one this year!!

I was a bit like you, stuffs come a long way. I did look at Diawa but there was no comparison for the same money. It has a lovely soft tip too for bite indication!

One rod i was pleseantly surprised when using was the shakespeare agility range of beachcasters. The first generation , in my opinion are still better than the new second generation and you can pick them up for around 80 euro because shops are trying to get rid of them due to the new generation. I think , if i can remeber correctly , the 13ft versions are 4-8oz casting
