just want to let yous all know rorys tackle in temple bar are having a sale on 16 17 th of feb tanks

sound s like they are trying to coincide with the Exo next year. Obviously UK mail order is starting to get a hold on the Irish market, proper order too. I was in another tackle shop recently and was there only 30 seconds before they began discussing specials they would be doing in the new year and the deals they would do me if I came back.

To be honest, and this is my own personal experience, I have always always found Rory's to be far more expensive than other shops.....even ABC which isnt a million miles away. I know some say its because of the location and you get tourists who are happy to spend spend spend, so he has high prices and in turn makes a goot profit...but even still, its not a large enough customer base you can rely on.

While on the subject of sales I picked up a 6500CT sports-mag for 140 euro at Landers sale in tralee today.Well happy as I have seen it in the mail order firms for 100 pounds.Can't wait to try it out.

Just bought a 525 Mag for €119 post packing and insurance included.

Just took delivery of an okuma oryx, bought it on e-bay.
retail in UK - approx 75 sterling, add a fiver for p&p = 80. Total Euro = ~115.

Retail in Ireland = 135 Euro

Cost from ebay (USA) 85$ plus 15$ p&p = 100$, Euro = 73 Euro.

The figures speak for themselves, didn't even bid, simply bought straight from an online ebayer.. ordered on 27/12 , received 30/12, now thats service.

This is also the much bigger RXS-90 version which seems to be only availible in US, so in my view I got an absolute stonker of a deal.

It pays to shop around...

Ordered from big tackle.com the brand new Okuma Axeon AXS 90 from the states, got the brother to bring it back in his luggage from the states.
$110 = £57 sterling. i know it's £100 sterling in the UK for the normal Axeon.
