Bass Soup 30.08.10

#1 Post by Tommy B »

People:Just me

Duration:6 hours

Tide:falling

Weather: Perfect

Bait: lures

Rigs:

Results: 2xBass

Report: I hadn't been out in about 3 weeks so I decided whatever the conditions I was going bass fishing. Arrived at the mark and there was a bit of a swell and the water was like chocolate :( . Fished for about 2 hours with various lures and only had 2 boils behind a popper but nothing. Decided to try out a new method and first cast bang!! I was into a fish couldn't believe it. It gave me a great scrap for 3.5lb. Next cast I was in again but lost this one cos the drag wasn't set properly. Moved down trying to find some clear water but it was like the everglades in Florida everywhere. Moved back to where I had caught and after 3 casts I was in again and this was a better fish at 5lb a mighty scrap.
I am amazed I got fish in this water on lures but happy to know I can it won't restrict me from going now.

Nice going there, I've had a few in similar conditions only last week, couldn't believe it as I was really only out to check out a new mark and decided to have a few casts. I suppose that's why we do what we do .... Bass disease! Well done on two nice Bass 8)
Everyone should believe in something; I believe I’ll go fishing.

Lovely fish there...love to fish the soup...white or yellow plugs work for me...seems alot better than clear water for me..that and white water...suppose they don't have the time to think or see????and when they are there in numbers the have to compete for food and attack in the dirty water.....me buddy has caught bass on plugs in the dark/////....
nice fish
