Bait: frozen mack, sandeel, squid, lug

Rigs: 3 hook flappers

Results: 1 flounder 36cm. others, 4 counting single flounders and 3 undersize

Report: cois fhairraige/carna SAC last comp of the year - bright day with snow capped mountains all round. - very slow start - weed about on the mid to late pegs - was at 3 myself

then 2 flounder were caught in the comp - and then i got a larger one about 2 hours in and that was it

Plagued with weed, up at peg 16, first cast me and the 2 lads besides me landed a huge raft of weed and 3 traces all in a ball. Broke out the grips and cast closer and managed to avoid the worst of it after that, but most casts at the start just ended up in weed.
One undersize for me, really poor fishing. Hate this beach on the fill, always do better on the ebb!
Well done Brian on the win! :)
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

should have said thanks to nige for the handful of lug he gave me - i was eating a sandwich with a mug of tea in the other hand and he arrives over to me with a ball of lug which i had to take there and then

seemed to do the trick - great that knee of yours is fixed - you can dig me lug anytime
