ha lads im trying to put up some photos for a report but they keep coming back as pixles to high and help on this would be great....

i use vso image resizer. free and easy to download. once its installed right click on the photo and in the list of options it should show "vso" click this and it will do it for you in a few simple steps.
very easy once you do a few.

Another option for you if you're using Windows XP is Microsoft's Image Resizer - a useful image resizer that integrates into Windows Explorer so when right-clicking on an image (or multiple selected images) you get an extra option available to you --> "Resize Image". If you select this, you're presented with a pop-up box offering you various sizes for your image(s). Pretty much 1-step resizing.
I'm not sure if they ever released a version for later Windows releases...
