can you fish off carne pier in wexford and if so what fish can you catch and what bait is best and also what time of year does it fish best.

You can fish off it thats where I learned to fish as a kid. I used to catch small wrasse off the back peir. I remenber catchin a nice flattie and some doggies off the top of the peir too. That was years ago though. I don't know what the fishing is like now. I'd imagine that since they added those defences to the back of the peir you might get conger in among the rocks. There is a lug worm bed right behind the peir. It was never a great fishing spot to be honest. There's loads of better spots close by. Hope this helps.
